National Parks
Presentation
The higest form of protection is a Natural Park. National Parks of Europe comprise protected area that is distinguished through special scientific, natural, social, cultural or educational values. The national Parks play a significant role in the word system of protected areas. Many parks of Europe have been recognized as word biosphere reserves. All the National Parks are open to turism and enjoy enormous recognition among visitors. The goals of the project are comparaison flora and fauna of one choosen National Park of Italy, Greece and Germany by students from each school. The students will be studing of knowledge of biodiversity of trees and other plants, as medicinal plants and other useful plants of National Parks. The students will be preparing herbarium during exursion to the Parks and albums with photos of fauna and flora and multimedia presentations.
Obiectives
The concrete aims of the project are: - Comparison flora and fauna of one choosen National Park of Italy, Greece and Germany. - Creating the dictionary names of flora and fauna in Latin, Englisch, German, Grecian and Italian - History of national park, lows, organizaatiion, rules to observe, list of plants and animal in danger - Stady of knoledge of biodiversity - Organizing school competitions - Exchange ideas beetween students from different countries(e-mail, forum,..) and local community
Activities
Analysis of scientific references; Interviews-Questionnaries; Botanical excursions to National Parks; Preparation of herbarium with medicinal plants;The herbarium will be exchanged beetwen schools;photos of fauna and flora; dinamic webpage and interactive CD-rom (responsability of the coordinating school in the third school year with the results obtained during the three years.The partner centres will be responsible for sendin information of its results; The dinamic webpage will have a forum in order to interchange opinions of pupils; Meeting in partner countries 2 times a year.
Final product
End product will be designed a new common webpage to publisch our data and multimedial presentations on this webpage. We will elaborate documents in each institution of results and conclusions. We also proceed for elaboration and distribution of an interactive CD-ROM with the results of the project. We create a herbarium of plants and albums of picture of National Parks flora in four copies. Students will prepare posters with information about National Parks.
